Applications are sought from experienced registered oral health therapists for appointment to its List of Approved Persons for hearing panels (LAP).
The appointment of panel members is in accordance with s183 (2) of the National Law and will not include individuals whose residence or principal place of practice is NSW due to the co-regulatory system in NSW.
Under the National Law health panels and performance and professional standards panels are convened by National Boards when required to hold hearings into specific health, performance or conduct matters for individual registered health professionals. Such panels consist of members chosen from the list of persons approved by the National Board.
Applicants should have a minimum of five years current practice experience and be of good standing in the profession.
The National Boards and Ahpra have an important role in ensuring the development of a culturally safe and respectful health workforce that is responsive to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples health and contributes to the elimination of racism in the provision of health services.
To achieve this, we have committed to increasing Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander leadership and voices on Boards and committees and warmly invite Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples to apply.
